Buckingham Palace is one of the few remaining working palaces in the world, it still serves as an office and London residence of Her Majesty the Queen.

During August and September, while Her Majesty is not in residence, Buckingham Palace opens its doors to the public. Nineteen rooms, lavishly furnished with the finest treasures from the Royal Collection, including priceless pieces of artwork are there for you to view.

Fashioning a Reign: 90 Years of Style from The Queen's Wardrobe

In celebration of The Queen's 90th birthday, three special exhibitions will be staged across each of Her Majesty's official residences during 2016. Fashioning a Reign will chart significant events in The Queen's life and the nation's history through an unprecedented collection of dress and accessories designed for these occasions, from childhood to the present day. The Queen's support of British couture and millinery will be highlighted through important pieces created for a world stage by renowned designers, including Sir Norman Hartnell, Sir Hardy Amies and Ian Thomas.

The Garden

The tour ends with an enjoyable walk through the extensive grounds of Buckingham Palace, home to thirty different species of bird and more than 350 different wild flowers, some extremely rare. Stroll past the lake admiring the magnificent views of the palace, like you have never seen before.
