Full Details

Leeds Castle

Set in the middle of a natural lake, and surrounded by 500 acres of parkland and gardens, Leeds Castle was described by Lord Conway as “the loveliest castle in the world”. Gaining entry to Leeds Castle before the doors open to the public, gives an almost private viewing, once the retreat for Henry VIII to escape the raging plague in London, during his reign. Before leaving, you have time to explore the magnificent grounds where you will find the “Lady Baillie Garden” with views over the lake, an aviary and a maze.

Canterbury Cathedral

Travelling through Kent, the county known as the “Garden of England”, we make our way to Canterbury to visit the Cathedral. This magnificent Cathedral is the most important church within the worldwide Anglican faith. The history contained within the walls dates back many years, the central bell tower 1498, the crypt to the 11th century, but not forgetting the gruesome murder of Archbishop Thomas Beckett in 1170. Before we leave there is time to explore the narrow streets of Canterbury.

White Cliffs of Dover

Continuing our tour through the beautiful countryside of Kent we pass quaint little villages and upon arriving at Dover, rising some 400 feet above sea level you will see the famous White Cliffs, a stunning coastline facing continental Europe. High on the top of the cliffs you will see Dover Castle, a medieval fortress which for the last 800 years has stood watch over the town.

Greenwich

We now head to the famous World Heritage Site of Greenwich. This maritime historic town is famous for the legendary tea clipper ship, the Cutty Sark, plus the famous Old Royal Naval College which was designed by Sir Christopher Wren.

Thames River Cruise

End your day on a relaxing note and see some top London landmarks during this Thames River Cruise. You'll cruise under the iconic Tower Bridge and past St Paul's Cathedral along the route, before disembarking at Embankment Pier.
