Christmas Eve Tour - 24 December 2019

Tour Starts: Daily 8.00am, Victoria

Tour Finishes: Approx 7.00pm, Victoria or Kensington (depending on traffic conditions)


We visit the Queen's favourite residence, Windsor Castle, including the magnificent State Apartments, and St George's Chapel. Onwards to Stonehenge and the mystery that surrounds it! We end the day with a walking tour in the historic City of Oxford, home to the world's most famous university.

Windsor Castle

Having been a home to the Royal Family for over 900 years and still an Official Residence of the Queen, Windsor Castle is a magnificent sight, surrounded by beautiful grounds and overlooking the River Thames. Take time to explore the luxurious State Apartments, which today are used for State occasions and Royal receptions. Finally visit the fourteenth century St. George’s Chapel, the final resting place for former monarchs including Henry VIII and his third wife Jane Seymour.

Clouded in mystery, the ancient stone circle of Stonehenge is an amazing feat of engineering and the most important prehistoric site in England, but beyond its archaeological significance and possible astronomical role, Stonehenge is also a place of spiritual importance. Early legends link it with Merlin and King Arthur, but over the last hundred years the midsummer sunrise has attracted pagan groups and followers of the Ancient Order of Druids.

Walking Tour of Oxford

Since 1249 Oxford has been the home of education for many a famous person, C.S.Lewis to Bill Clinton were once students here. Known as “The City of Dreaming Spires”, you will be captivated as we take you on a walking tour, and show you Magdalen College, The Shedonian Theatre, the newly renovated Ashmolean Museum and the Martyr’s Memorial, plus a chance to see Christ Church College, made famous in the Harry Potter films.
